Matteo Darmian ‘prepares goodbye’ from Manchester United, state Tuttosport, in yet another article from the Turin newspaper stating a transfer is very close.

Linked with a return to Italy since a few months into his Old Trafford career, Darmian has reportedly been of interest to nearly all the bigger clubs in Serie A. In recent weeks that’s very much been narrowed down to Juventus, and it’s thought the player would be up for a move.

Not having prominence under Jose Mourinho, Darmian would leave Manchester United to take his chances at Juventus. It’s likely he wouldn’t walk into the team there either, but would be hopeful of more game time.

Tuttosport are now so confident Darmian is off to Juve that they state unless there’s any ‘sensational surprises’, the fullback’s signing is set to be one of the first announcements of business from the Serie A club.

Despite all these claims from Tuttosport they continue to ignore a rather important part of the move: The transfer fee.

Manchester United are going to want a reasonable offer and that’s where the ‘sensational surprises’ perhaps have a chance of kicking in.
