Andre Gomes is ‘one step away’ from becoming a permanent Everton player, report Marca.
The Spanish newspaper has claims similar to those of Mundo Deportivo on Tuesday, who explained the Premier League had managed to win their battle over price with Barcelona.
With the Catalan side looking for €30m or more, other clubs were brought into the picture to try and pressure the Toffees.
There were claims he was set to sign for Tottenham, and then several reports insisting West Ham United had offered more than Everton were willing to pay.
Marca echo this, and report they’ve had the information confirmed to them independently. So it’s again stated Everton will be paying around €25m, and that the official announcement could come in the ‘next few hours’.
Wednesday’s edition of Sport reported Marco Silva’s side still need to agree personal terms with Gomes, but it’s a stretch to believe these haven’t been discussed, and likely agreed, already.
