Gazzetta dello Sport today have a very confident article on Moise Kean leaving Everton and returning to Juventus this summer.
According to the Italian newspaper, the ‘prodigal son’ is ‘one step away’ from moving back to the Serie A club. The formula of a deal is yet to be agreed, and this is where the Turin club are likely to find problems.
One option is a two year loan with a compulsory purchase clause, allowing Juve to push paying a transfer fee into the distance. Another option is using a player Andrea Pirlo isn’t counting on for the coming season, such as Aaron Ramsey.
Gazzetta believe Kean is ‘very close’ to moving back to Turin, but their confidence may be misplaced at this stage. Even if they’re correct in saying Everton wouldn’t fight to keep the forward, neither of the options seem particularly attractive for the Toffees.
The loan and purchase clause sounds hugely weighted to what Juve want, rather than something Everton would seek, and whilst Ramsey could improve Carlo Ancelotti’s options, the 29 year old has a record of injuries and is on huge wages after leaving Arsenal as a free agent.
Juventus will likely have to come up with something better to convince the Premier League club.
