Eduardo Camavinga is almost certainly not a name well known among Manchester United supporters, but that may change in the coming years.
The youngster, who was born in Angola, has had a big week. A few days ago he completed his French citizenship and today he’s turned 17 years of age.
Sunday’s edition of L’Equipe takes a look at the youngster and his exciting progress, and talks about interest from other clubs.
Playing for Rennes, he already has eleven Ligue 1 appearances this season, which is even more impressive given he plays an important role in midfield.
The French newspaper says Camavinga has ‘obviously’ caught the eye of Manchester United, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona, and the chasing pack around him is only expected to grow.
Valued earlier this year at around €20-30m, it’s suggested his value could go even higher should he continue to impress in the coming months.
The player’s entourage won’t push for a move, believing there’s no point in forcing things if he’s continuing to impress where he is.
That could create difficulties for the clubs who are keen, with it being unlikely Camavinga would want to go to Manchester United and not be a regular.
