All of a sudden, Italian website TuttoMercatoWeb are claiming an exclusive on Mitchell Dijks to Birmingham City.
TMW claim Birmingham are keen to sign the player, who spent last season on loan at Norwich City and refused a permanent move to the Canaries, and he’s ‘one step away’ from moving to the Championship club.
Birmingham interest has been reported in the Netherlands since June, and Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf again covered the situation on Monday, explaining that whilst the English club could find an agreement with Ajax, they haven’t yet been able to do so with Dijks.
TMW insist it’s their own information, with the Italian website claiming to have a scoop on a Dutch footballer, who has a Dutch agent, at a Dutch club, joining an English side, and yet they don’t really add anything.
It must be a popular rumour already.
