Different media outlets continue to turn down the rumours which linked the Barcelona star Philippe Coutinho to a move to Arsenal this morning.
It all started in France, with reports saying the Gunners should sign the Brazilian on a loan deal.
The first denial came from Spanish outlet AS. They claimed that there had been no efforts from Arsenal to sign the former Liverpool player, and he wasn’t an option for them right now.
Then Catalan radio station RAC1 reported that Coutinho is being offered to clubs in the Premier League, but a move to Arsenal ‘wasn’t happening’.
Now it’s time for the Brazilian media to talk about it. UOL doesn’t confirm the bid from the Gunners, since they credit the French press, but they got some information on the player’s stance regarding the transfer.
They say Coutinho is not interested in leaving Barcelona, especially because he and his family like the city. The fact that Arsenal are out of the Champions League this season is also something that weighs against the London side.
UOL doesn’t totally rule out the move, but they make it clear this is not Coutinho’s wish.
