Bordeaux striker Hwang Ui-jo could snub interest from Nottingham Forest because he doesn’t want to be loaned to Olympiakos.

That’s according to L’Equipe, who report that the plan proposed by Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis has not convinced the striker.

Hwang has been linked with a move away from Bordeaux this summer, with them in desperate need of sales to aid their dire financial problems.

The striker is one of the sellable assets in the squad and has subsequently been linked with clubs around Europe, particularly in the Premier League.

Nottingham Forest are one of those keen, having made a €5m offer, but according to L’Equipe, the move is unlikely to happen.

They say that Forest have recently made their move for Hwang, proposing that he sign this summer and then spend a season on loan at Marinakis’ other club, Olympiakos.

However, the striker is ‘not enthralled’ by the idea of playing in Greece at this stage and would still prefer a move to England.

Thus, if that is Marinakis’ plan for him this summer, he won’t be joining Nottingham Forest.

Talks are still underway between the club and Bordeaux over a deal but unless Forest offer him Premier League football, Hwang isn’t interested.
