‘Niang between Nice and Arsenal’. That’s how Turin newspaper Tuttosport talks about the player today, saying he could leave for one of these clubs.
But the headline actually sounds a little sensationalist, because what the story actually reports is just the interest these side have in the Torino striker.
In Nice’s case, M’Baye Niang is seen as a replacement for Mario Balotelli, who had been expected to leave the club for Marseille this summer.
Regarding Arsenal, what Tuttosport says is that the Gunners are keeping an eye on the forward, evaluating the situation. But no official bid has been made so far.
The reason why Tuttosport thinks Niang would leave so easily is because Torino don’t have a big wish to keep him.
The idea is to have Andrea Belotti and Simone Zaza in their attack for the season, and for that to happen one of the forwards would have to leave the squad. That would be Niang.
The amount that Arsenal or Nice would have to pay for the 23-year-old isn’t revealed by the newspaper.
