Nelson Semedo’s transfer to Wolverhampton Wanderers now seems closer than ever.
Following reports saying the Barcelona fullback is about to join the Premier League side, the Catalan media now says he didn’t even take part in training today.
It’s Mundo Deportivo who reports it. They explain that due to the ‘imminence’ of an agreement for the move, the club preferred to keep him away from the session.
Just like in previous reports, the outlet says the deal with Wolves could be made official between today and tomorrow, as Barça and his agents are sorting the final details for the transfer.
Mundo Deportivo writes the deal is ‘almost done’, and the Molineux side will pay an initial amount of between €32m and €35m. Then there are some bonuses which could make the deal reach €40m.
Nelson Semedo joined Barcelona in a €35m deal from Benfica back in 2017. He made 124 appearances for the Catalan side in his three years at the club.
