Hector Bellerin has ‘made it clear’ he wants to leave Arsenal this summer, and Fiorentina and Roma are willing to pay his €10m asking price.
That’s according to Estadio Deportivo, who say the full-back is currently focused on remaining at Real Betis after his successful loan spell at the Spanish club.
They explain that Bellerin and his entourage made it clear to Arsenal at the end of the season that he wants to depart permanently, and the Gunners understood that desire.
However, they don’t want to lose a player who is valued at €20m and still only 27 years old on a free, particularly as they believe ‘there are not many like him’ on the market.
That’s why they are demanding a fee for the Spaniard, and there are clubs willing to pay their €10m asking price.
Fiorentina and Roma have ‘shown interest’ in Bellerin, and both ‘agreed to negotiate’ for the figure Arsenal are looking for.
The big issue is Bellerin, though, who is a factor ‘to be reckoned with’ and for the moment, he remains firm and wants to go back to Betis.
Thus, he is set to return to Arsenal on Sunday for medical tests the following day, very much a part of Mikel Arteta’s squad for the time being.
