With Raphinha wanting to leave Leeds United after helping them stay up in the Premier League, a big auction has started for his services.

Barcelona were among the first to come knocking, but their hope was for the Whites to get relegated so they could take advantage of a clause in the Brazilian’s contract.

Unfortunately for them, that wasn’t the case, and Leeds staying up made their attempts to sign the winger far more difficult.

It gave the Elland Road side room to negotiate, which has opened the door for various clubs in England to try their luck.

Tottenham are the latest to give it a go, but Italian journalist Gianluigi Longari makes it clear Raphinha’s ‘priority is still Barcelona’.

In fact, his agent was in Barcelona on Tuesday ‘with Joan Laporta’, the man in charge at the Catalan side these days.

This certainly suggests the Leeds star’s entourage are pushing for a move to the La Liga giants above all, despite interest from the aforementioned Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea.
