Andros Townsend could be set for a move to Turkish side Tümosan Konyaspor as he looks for a new club after leaving Everton in the summer.

Ajansspor report that the winger has ‘agreed in principle’ to join the Turkish side as he remains a free agent following his departure from Goodison Park.

Townsend left Everton at the end of his contract this summer, with the Blues electing to part ways rather than keep the veteran after he spent the last year and a half on the treatment table with a cruciate ligament injury.

He’s yet to find a new club willing to take him on but that may have now changed with Ajansspor reporting that they’ve made a ‘flash move’ at the end of the Turkish transfer window.

According to their information, they’ve ‘reached an agreement in principle’ with the winger after making an official offer to him.

The former Everton man is yet to decide on the move, but it is expected to happen at some point soon given the Turkish transfer window closes this evening.

It’s not the first time he’s been linked with a move to Turkey this summer as he also spent part of it training with Fatih Karagümrük, but that potential move was cancelled as he couldn’t reach an agreement on financial matters with the club.
