It appears that Brice Samba is edging towards leaving Nottingham Forest.
That’s according to L’Equipe, who report the goalkeeper is ‘a little bit closer’ to RC Lens, whom he wants to join for next season.
This is because the two teams are ‘basically in agreement’ on a transfer fee of €5m, and he should ‘soon’ be a part of the Ligue 1 team’s squad.
Only having one year left on his contract at Nottingham Forest, Samba made it clear that he didn’t want to renew, feeling the offer wasn’t up to his demands.
He even asked the City Ground contingent to ‘accelerate’ his exit so that he could join a new team before preseason, which appears to have happened.
In fact, the Nottingham Forest star’s wish ‘could come true at the beginning of next week’.
A shame for the newly promoted Premier League side, but better to let him go for €5m than see him leave for free next season.
