AS Monaco’s Aurélien Tchouaméni has ended up in the ‘sights’ of Chelsea.
The midfielder joined the Ligue 1 side from Bordeaux in the winter 2020 market, six months before Niko Kovač arrived at the club.
Tchouaméni gained prominence under Kovač and has started in 35 league matches this season, he’s managed two goals and three assists in the process.
According to Jeunes Footeux, the 21-year-old’s performances have ‘attracted’ the west London club and he’s of interest to them.
It’s claimed Thomas Tuchel ‘loves the profile of the player’ and could ‘integrate’ the France U21 international into his plans at Stamford Bridge next season, if the Blues were to secure his services.
Tchouaméni is a source of ‘great happiness’ for Kovač and his fine displays this campaign are an indication he can be a ‘great player’ in the near future.
The report, therefore, states Chelsea will have to ‘spend no less than €40m’ for his signing, after he arrived at Monaco in a deal worth €18m in 2020.
With the ex-Paris Saint-Germain manager being a fan of the new Monaco star, Jeunes Footeux suggest Roman Abramovich could well ‘gift’ Tchouaméni to Tuchel this summer.
