Italian outlet FC Inter News today explains the situation of Marcelo Brozovic, who’s in talks for a new deal with the Nerazzurri but hasn’t agreed to it yet.
The report of course points out the many clubs who’ve been interested in the midfielder, and one of them is said to be Tottenham Hotspur.
According to the story, Antonio Conte ‘did not forget’ about Brozovic, who played under him at Inter Milan, and now tried to take him to London.
The 29-year-old, however, ‘immediately declined’ the chance to join Spurs, as he continues to negotiate the extension with the Serie A side and also gathers a bigger list of sides who are interested in signing him for free in the summer.
This isn’t the first time the Italian media claims Conte tried to sign Brozovic in January. Following the end of the transfer window, CMIT TV had reported the same, claiming Barcelona also made an attempt.
The midfielder, however, seems focused on finishing his season with Inter.
