Mundo Deportivo continue to pour cold water on Ansu Fati to Manchester United.
Claims of interest started in the Spanish sport media and were then picked up in England. It was first stated the Premier League club were willing to offer around €100m, and then claimed United would increase it to a mega offer of €150m including bonuses.
From the start the claims felt untrue, and Mundo have already stated there’s nothing in it. In their Sunday edition, the Catalan newspaper report Ansu Fati and his family haven’t heard anything about a Manchester United attempt to sign him. Nobody has contacted them to find out their opinion on the potential move.
Barcelona have denied knowing anything about it either, which would further underline this has all come from somewhere else.
Mundo Deportivo state Ansu Fati is looking forward to signing his first big contract with Barcelona, and it’s expected his release clause could be as high as €400m.
He doesn’t contemplate leaving the club, so wouldn’t even be interested if the claims about Manchester United were true.
