On March 6th, we carried a report from Defensa Central that explained Carlo Ancelotti wants Everton to sign Real Madrid duo Lucas Vázquez and Isco in the next market.
Vázquez’s contract expires at the end of this season and Marca stated last week the 29-year-old isn’t planning to sign an extension.
Reports in England have talked about Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur interest in the forward and Mundo Deportivo on Monday explained Spurs have an advantage over the Gunners in the transfer chase.
Apart from the two north London clubs, Everton from the Premier League are also interested in the player, according to today’s edition of Mundo Deportivo.
Real Madrid have still ‘not closed’ renewing contracts of some of their players and the report highlights Vázquez’s situation.
The newspaper states the player wanted his ‘issue with renewal’ to be resolved in March.
With just over a week left in the month, there’s no certainty for the Spaniard to continue at Santiago Bernabéu beyond this season.
It’s claimed Zinedine Zidane’s side have tabled a renewal proposal, which has been ‘rejected’ by the player. Luckily for him, there are offers from Everton, Napoli and AC Milan ‘on the table’.
With Mundo suggesting Vázquez will not continue at Real Madrid, and unless there’s a renewal he’ll be without contract, Everton will be provided with an opportunity to make an attempt for his signing.
