Tiemoué Bakayoko had a positive appearance for Napoli at the weekend, scoring the opening goal for their away win against Torino for the Serie A.
His performance resulted in many compliments from the Italian press, and it’s impossible to talk about his success without analysing the possibilities he has for the future.
Corriere Del Mezzogiorno has a story about the midfielder today, claiming that despite his good form, he’s not staying on a permanent move from Chelsea.
Loaned by the Blues at the start of the season, the 26-year-old struggled to adapt to Napoli, having many ups and downs so far.
Chelsea and Napoli did not agree a price for a permanent move, and that’s pointed out as one of the reasons why his stay in Italy isn’t happening.
“He made mistakes mainly due to lack of clarity, when he arrived at Napoli he hadn’t played for seven months and also suffered the difficulties of the team that in the most complex moments struggled to have balance,” the newspaper says.
Bakayoko is having his third loan in a row, following spells at Milan, Monaco and Napoli. His contract with Chelsea expires in 2022.
