According to a claim in the Turkish media, Besiktas defender Dusko Tosic will be allowed to leave the club’s training camp to evaluate any offers which come in for him.

Tosic could leave the Turkish champions in this window, and today it was reported in Turkey Celtic have tabled a bid for the Serbian.

Fanatik have claimed Tosic will be allowed to speak to other clubs, which will give Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers a boost in his pursuit of the player. With the recent arrival of Croatian defender Domagoj Vida, Tosic’s future with Besiktas looks uncertain, as it’s expected the Turkish side’s new signing will be partnered with Pepe.

Earlier today we covered reports from the Turkish media that Celtic have tabled a €3m bid for Tosic, but it’s likely the Scottish Premiership champions will have to increase this by €1m to land the 32 year old.

It’s been claimed talks will continue between Celtic and Besiktas, with a good possibility a deal can be sealed.

With Eric Sviatchenko joining FC Midtjylland on loan, Rodgers will be hoping to bring in an experienced defender before the deadline, and Tosic could be the perfect fit for Celtic.
