Brentford are about to get their move for Gustavo Nunes over the line, with Brazil’s Globo Esporte reporting the player is flying to England on Friday.
Grêmio have tried to get the best financial deal they can in negotiations with the Premier League club, and it’s explained Brentford are paying €12m for 80% of the player’s rights.
With Brazilian football that usually means 20% of a future transfer will be going to the current selling club. In addition to that, Globo Esporte report the player is also due a percentage of this transfer, although the numbers for that are being kept confidential for now.
Agent Paulo Pitombeira oversaw the negotiations this week. On Monday a meeting was held to try and secure the deal between Grêmio and Brentford, and whilst it may have taken a little longer than wanted it’s sorted out now and Gustavo Nunes is on his way to European football.
The 18-year-old is a left-winger and came through the ranks at the Brazilian club.
