In the past few days, the Brazilian media has been bringing several stories regarding Flamengo’s stance on the purchase of Andreas Pereira, as they’re considering giving up on the deal they have with Manchester United.
The midfielder is loaned to the Rio de Janeiro side until the summer, and despite the previous agreement for a €20m buying option, the clubs ended up shaking hands to make the transfer for just €10m.
Now it turns out that besides Flamengo’s view, Goal brings Andreas Pereira’s opinion on the situation.
The player, who’s been benched by new manager Paulo Sousa, now seems to be unsatisfied with the scenario as well.
It’s said the Manchester United loanee continues with the desire of staying at the club, but is now ‘pensive’ since being dropped from the starting team.
Goal writes that according to people close to Andreas, it’s understood that between being benched by Flamengo or Manchester United, it ‘makes more sense to return in search of opportunities’ at the Premier League side.
Flamengo continue to delay the decision, as they have Andreas on loan until June.
And with president Rodolfo Landim being pressured by the board not to make the purchase, the situation gets harder with Andreas not pleasing the manager.
