Queens Park Rangers are in the process of closing a deal with Westerlo for central midfielder Nicolas Madsen.
That’s according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, who reports that QPR are close to finalising their deal with the Belgian side.
According to his information, they’ve found an agreement with Westerlo on a €3.75m deal for the central midfielder, with bonuses and a percentage of a future sale also included.
There are a few details left for the deal to be concluded but Madsen is set to arrive in London tonight for medical tests. After that he will then sign his new contract at Loftus Road.
He will sign a five-year deal with the Championship side and become their ninths signing of a busy summer transfer window so far. His fee will also make him the most expensive arrival to date after the €2m deal to sign Zan Celar from FC Lugano.
His signing has been targeted to improve QPR’s central midfield options alongside Jack Colback, Sam Field, Jonathan Varane and Elijah Dixon-Bonner.
The deal is now in the final stages, with an agreement in place with Westerlo and Madsen’s personal terms also finalised.
