Moise Kean is determined to return to Italy this summer, but Everton want to give him another season to prove himself in the Premier League.
The Italian striker arrived at Goodison Park last summer in a £30m deal from Juventus, a move that many considered a coup for the Blues.
His first season in England has not been a successful one, though, with him managing just one goal and two assists in 26 games this season.
He was linked with a return to Italy in the January transfer window and, although that never happened, Leggo report he is keen for it to happen this summer.
The newspaper explains that the Everton striker has a ‘pact’ with Roma midfielder Nicolò Zaniolo, who he is good friends with and is thus determined to try and secure a move to Rome.
However, they need to ‘convince’ Everton to let him go. That is considered ‘not impossible’ although Everton would like him to stay around for another year.
His agent, Mino Raiola, is keen on a move happening and is working with Roma’s Gianluca Petrachi to find a solution.
The most likely option is a loan deal with a purchase option tagged onto it, with Roma short on money and looking to trim down their finances.
That, though, will depend on Kean’s determination to carry on earning €3m-a-year, the suggestion being that Roma couldn’t afford to pay that if they were to sign him on loan from Everton.
