Tahith Chong last made an appearance for Manchester United’s senior team in his side’s 1-0 defeat to Newcastle United in October.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has used the winger in only four matches across all competitions, which includes two substitute appearances from the bench in the Premier League.
His contract at Old Trafford expires at the end of this season and the 19-year-old’s agent, Erkan Alkan earlier told Voetbal International his client is ‘quietly waiting’ for an extension offer from the Red Devils. He also admitted there are top clubs keeping an eye on the teenager.
The Dutch magazine explained the Premier League side have not come up with a new offer and they don’t plan to use the teenager a lot this season.
Calciomercato talks about Juventus’ interest in the player as they claim the Old Lady ‘move seriously’ for the youngster.
The report adds Chong has ‘decided’ not to sign a new contract with United, meaning he can leave Solskjaer’s side as a free agent next summer. The Turin club are studying the possibility of signing him on a free transfer.
There’s a chance of another Paul Pogba situation developing, but Chong hasn’t shown as much as the Frenchman had when he moved to Juve, and the Bianconeri is a harder team to get into than it was in 2012.
