Player closer to joining Everton, talks progressing well, wants Toffees over Arsenal and West Ham

Turkish newspaper Aksam claim the talks between Everton and the agent of Oguzhan Ozyakup, Kees Vos are progressing ‘very well’, as they believe the player is very close to joining Everton at the end of the season.

Aksam used the headline ‘Ozzie is moving closer to Everton’ and report the player’s chance to stay at Besiktas is now very slim, with the Toffees currently leading the race.

According to Aksam, Ozyakup’s agent Vos is constantly in touch with Everton, and Besiktas officials are aware of the situation. Aksam also said the player is followed by clubs like West Ham, Arsenal and Valencia, but the Turkish international wants to team up with his friend Cenk Tosun at Everton.

Earlier we covered reports from the Turkish press which stated the Turkish international is a target for Everton at the end of the season, as 32-capped Besiktas captain has yet to extend on his current deal and will become a free agent at the end of the season.

Ozyakup has played 32 games for Besiktas this season, and made 6 assists.
