Over the past few weeks, the Catalan media carried several reports regarding Adrien Rabiot and the common theme is the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder dreams of playing for Barcelona.
On November 30th, it was Mundo Deportivo who reported the La Liga winners are in pole position to sign him, but also suggested there are other clubs interested in the Frenchman.
A ‘Top Secret’ report from the same publication in Saturday’s edition of the newspaper once again mentions the 23-year-old is keen on playing for the Blaugrana and the leaders at the Camp Nou also ‘love’ him.
It’s also claimed the player, whose contract at Parc des Princes expires after this season, has selected the Catalan club as a future destination.
If one thinks the deal is all but sealed, Mundo mention Rabiot’s mother, Veronique Rabiot, who is also his agent is the ‘main obstacle’ for the Spanish champions to close the deal.
In her country, she is known for her tough negotiating skills and knowing that her son is on the radar of several clubs, demands have increased accordingly.
The representative is aware the PSG star’s dream is to play alongside Lionel Messi at Barca, but Veronique is clear that Adrien will select a club that offers the combined best economic deal and sporting project.
