German newspaper Bild have a rundown of business Bundesliga clubs could do during the current window, and for Hoffenheim one of the potential exits is Steven Zuber.
The Swiss international isn’t getting the game time he wants. Making nine Bundesliga appearances so far this season, and three in the Champions League, only 7 of those have been as a starter and it’s thought to not be enough.
Bild say Zuber ‘can go with an offer’, which makes it sound like Hoffenheim are certainly open to a reasonably priced sale, and that Leeds United are keen.
They also back that up in a separate article, and explain that whilst the player’s exit may have been considered surprising at one stage, Hoffenheim ‘would not be averse’ to a transfer.
There’s some doubt over whether Zuber would be keen to move to Leeds, with them being in England’s second tier. Marcelo Bielsa’s side are looking good for a promotion battle, but Bild still think it may not be such an attractive move.
Therefore, the Whites pulling this one off would be impressive.
