Over the weekend, La Dernière Heure reported Albert Sambi Lokonga cleared his medical tests in the Netherlands on Friday, ahead of his impending move to Arsenal.

It was also stated the Anderlecht midfielder’s move to the Emirates would be made official in the next few hours. Days have gone by, but the deal hasn’t been made official by either club.

Het Laatste Nieuws provides fresh details over why the player’s signing for the Gunners hasn’t been completed yet.

It’s claimed the 21-year-old arrived in London last weekend and his transfer to Arsenal is ’99.9 percent complete’.

The Belgian must first quarantine in the English capital and once that’s completed, only then he can sign his contract with Mikel Arteta’s side and his transfer will be made official.

The north London club will travel to the United States on July 22nd for their pre-season tour and HLN suggest Lokonga is expected to travel with his Arsenal teammates to the US later this month.

This indicates Lokonga has a few more days left before he completes his switch to the Premier League side.
