The Marcos Rojo saga seems to be finally coming to an end.
As reported by TyC Sports, the defender has now found an agreement for his departure from Manchester United and is becoming a free agent.
Marcos Rojo is now expected to sign a two-year deal with Boca Juniors, with an option for one extra season. Their headline reads: ‘Rojo will be a Boca player: only the signature is missing’.
TyC Sports points out there’s been an agreement between the player and the Argentine club ‘for weeks’, and they were just waiting for him to sort out his situation with the Red Devils.
For the past couple of days, there’s been a big controversy in Argentina as Estudiantes president Juan Sebastian Veron has been posting some messages which are believed to be directed to Rojo. The former Manchester United midfielder seems to be unhappy with the defender’s decision not to go back to La Plata.
However, even newspaper Olé brings a column today claiming it’s not absurd for the 30-year-old to accept a new professional challenge.
