Racing Club midfielder Carlos Alcaraz has admitted his club will sell him, if suitors like Tottenham make a suitable bid in the January transfer window.
Alcaraz has been impressing for Racing in Argentina over the last year, with nine goals and two assists in 42 games in all competition in the 2021/22 season.
Like many highly rated Argentinian youngsters he has subsequently been linked with a move to Europe, with Tottenham believed to be one of his suitors.
A report from Marca in May stated that they were following the 19-year-old closely, having sent scouts to watch him play and asked about his situation ahead of a possible transfer.
The newspaper made it clear that Racing were looking for at least $20m, around £16.4m, for a transfer to take place.
Whether Tottenham are willing to pay that figure for the midfielder remains to be seen, but Alcaraz has made it clear that if a suitable bid is made, Racing will be more than happy to sell.
“I already fulfilled the dream of being champion with Racing, now my dream is to win the Copa Libertadores with this club. Now I want to win something international,” Doble Amarilla report him saying, with the report also backing up Tottenham interest.
“If Racing come in January and bring me an offer that suits them, they will sell me. If they tell me to stay and play in the Libertadores, I’ll stay.
“I’m very well here and I’m committed to Racing and to what is good for the club.”
