It’s now time for the French media to speak about Nottingham Forest’s pursuit for Danilo.
According to Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna, the Palmeiras midfielder has accepted a contract offer from the Premier League side.
Nottingham Forest, however, must still reach a deal with the Brazilian club, as they continue negotiations following the €20m offer.
Aouna even adds that the Tricky Trees are still ‘busy’ working to sign a central defender and a striker in this transfer window.
The report is interesting because just minutes before, Brazilian outlet UOL had reported that the agreement between Nottingham Forest and Palmeiras was really close, with the clubs discussing the final details for the move.
The reason why the French media are interested in the story is because Monaco had also been in contact for the signing, and at one point were even said to be leading the race for the midfielder.
With Nottingham Forest now close to landing Danilo, we wait to see what they offered to get this signing done. As reported by UOL, there could be the possibility of delaying the move until the summer.
