Brighton & Hove Albion’s Marc Cucurella has emerged as Antonio Conte’s ‘main objective’ for Tottenham Hotspur, according to Fichajes.net.
The left-back arrived at The Amex last summer and established himself as a key figure under Graham Potter’s orders. His ‘impressive performances’ have caught the attention of the Spurs manager.
It’s claimed that one of the former Chelsea coach’s requests for Tottenham Hotspur in the next window is to bring in a new left-back, who can occupy and cover the space left by the potential exit of Sergio Reguilón.
Conte considers the Spaniard an ‘ideal’ target as the manager believes the left-back will suit his system. Cucurella is valued at €20m, so his signing would seem like a ‘cheap and affordable addition’ for Tottenham Hotspur.
Fichajes.net further adds it remains to be seen whether Brighton & Hove Albion are willing to sell the defender, just a year after buying him.
Apart from Spurs, other teams have shown interest in Cucurella. However, none of them have tabled a concrete offer so far.
