Yesterday, Spanish newspaper AS reported Real Madrid star Isco has decided to stall contract negotiations talks until summer. The 24-year-old has 18 months left on his current deal, and wants to wait to evaluate his situation at the club.
It was reported Manchester City have set their eyes on him, and that Tottenham have also tried signing him in the past.
AS continue with their report on Friday claiming Manchester City are the ones most interested and are paying close attention to the situation. Pep Guardiola wants to seduce the player to Manchester City with the project in hand, like he snatched away Gabriel Jesus from the clutches of Barcelona and Real Madrid.
AS say Manchester City have reached an agreement with Isco’s representatives twice in the past, but the player once renewed with Malaga and opted to sign for Real Madrid the second time.
It’s been reported Isco could leave for cheap in the summer or on a free transfer in the summer of 2018, if Real Madrid don’t reach an agreement. In either case, Manchester City are attentive and want to sign the Spaniard.
Isco wants to continue at Real Madrid, but would like to be offered more playing time, as he’s managed just over 600 minutes of football this season. Manchester City are routinely linked with Isco and it’s impossible to know if the latest links are simply force of habit.
