January is around the corner, which means the start of the transfer window and rumours regarding Leroy Sané.

The Manchester City winger was heavily linked with a move to Bayern Munich throughout the summer but missed out when he suffered a ruptured cruciate ligament injury in the Charity Shield win over Liverpool.

That’s not stopped the rumours about a move, with Bayern known to be still keen and likely targeting a move next summer.

Should that happen, Manchester City would need a replacement and the man who has been linked is Real Sociedad’s Mikel Oyarzabal.

The Spaniard was heavily linked with a move to the Etihad throughout the summer as a result of the Sané rumours, and El Confidencial say City’s interest remains.

According to them, should Sané move to Germany, which looks likely, that would re-open the door to a move for Oyarzabal.

Pep Guardiola ‘knows’ the player can perform for a big team and the €75m price tag is ‘nothing’ to Sheikh Mansour’s chequebook.

Ultimately the decision will be Oyarzabal’s, and he will ‘decide his fate’, but like last summer, it seems Manchester City will have him on their list once again.
