For as long as Fabio Paratici has been in charge of transfer at Tottenham, Dusan Vlahovic has been linked with a move to London.
This came amid rumours that Harry Kane could make the switch to Manchester City, but the England international never got his transfer to the Etihad, leaving him to have to stay in London under Nuno Espírito Santo.
Antonio Conte has replaced the Portuguese since then, but with Pep Guardiola still without a proper starting striker, the interest could rear its ugly head next summer once again.
Vlahovic would likely be top of the list of replacements, but it appears, at least according to Gazzetta dello Sport on Sunday, that alternatives are being looked at.
The newspaper explain that Gianluca Scamacca, currently at Sassuolo, is ‘popular’ in England, where a couple of ‘major clubs follow him closely’.
That’s when it’s revealed that ‘one is Tottenham, especially if they part ways with Kane in June’.
However, it is pointed out that things are changing under Conte, but will that be enough to make him stay for the foreseeable future?
If it isn’t, Paratici appears ready with a list, and the 22-year-old, who has scored five goals in 17 games so far this season appears to be on it.
