Tottenham remain interested in Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi, having been keen on him in the summer transfer window.
That’s according to Gazzetta dello Sport, who say Tottenham chief Fabio Paratici has ‘certainly not let go’ of the player.
The newspaper explains that the midfielder has long been in the crosshairs of Roma, who were planning on making use of a 30% resale they have on the player to bring his price down.
However, Sassuolo ‘held out’ and were ‘counting on’ competition from Tottenham to ensure they could get a good price for the 23-year-old.
That never happened as Tottenham spent their money elsewhere and the player remained where he was, but it seems their interest has not gone away.
Gazzetta state that ‘Paratici has certainly not let go’ of the player, with it suggested that he is now eyeing a future move for him.
Tottenham are not the only Premier League side interested either, with Brighton also having ‘set in motion’ a potential transfer, presumably via their new manager Roberto de Zerbi, given he worked with the player at his former club.
