Bild are in all-out-waving-arms-in-the-air panic.
They’ve taken English claims of Mesut Ozil potentially missing the World Cup seriously, and are sending the panic out across all their readers.
With Ozil struggling with a back injury, something which has been around for a while and recently flared up, there’s a worry it could impact on Germany’s World Cup preparations and maybe even Joachim Low’s squad for Russia.
Arsene Wenger saying Ozil may not play again this season is another dollop of worry for the German media, but half way through their panicked article they get a grip.
There’s no ‘medical report’ yet on what is wrong with the Arsenal player, and until that’s the case then there’s not a lot Low’s Germany set-up can do about it.
Whilst there may be reason for concern, whatever The Sun said probably isn’t the basis for such panic.
Bild almost certainly have better Ozil connections than the English newspaper so it’s probably time they use them, and stop running around the office in a state of pure fear.
