Manchester United have been linked with a move for Torino’s Vanja Milinkovic-Savic repeatedly over the past few weeks.

Yesterday, it was suggested that the Red Devils have held initial talks for the goalkeeper and now more has emerged about the Serbian’s situation at the Italian club.

Tuttomercatoweb have reported that Manchester United are interested in Milinkovic-Savic and are ready to get serious in their move for him.

The 28-year-old has a release clause of €20m that applies only to foreign clubs and this scenario is causing panic at Torino.

Due to interest from Manchester United, the Turin club’s owner Urbano Cairo wants to have talks over a new deal with Milinkovic-Savic ‘as soon as possible’. Their aim is to either remove the release clause completely or increase the amount.

In the meantime, Torino are also looking around for replacements for the Serbia international. One player that they like is former Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius and the Granata are also interested in Sampdoria’s Jonathan Klinsmann.

This could prove to be quite encouraging for Manchester United. Rivals Chelsea and Manchester City have also been linked with Milinkovic-Savic and it remains to be seen if they provide any stern competition.
