Alex Sandro to Manchester United remains a story bubbling under the surface in Italy, without anything concrete happening.
Corriere dello Sport claim that despite what has been said in England of an agreement between the player and the Red Devils being found, that isn’t the case.
Manchester United are described as being ‘constantly alert’ about the left-back’s situation, but no movement, from them or Paris Saint-Germain, has taken place.
The price remains the same (somewhere in between €50-60m), but there’s some good news should Ed Woodward decide to make a move.
Were that to happen, Juventus would ‘immediately’ reopen talks for Matteo Darmian, for whom Manchester United are demanding €20m.
Having signed Joao Cancelo, their need for a new full-back has diminished, but the loss of their Brazilian defender would change that.
If Manchester United fans weren’t already excited at the prospect of signing Alex Sandro, seeing Darmian definitely going the other way would surely do the trick.
That’s the impression we’re getting from social media, anyways.
