Already a vital part of Everton’s first-team, Tom Davies is widely seen as an exciting prospect for both Everton and England.

The 19-year-old already has 60 appearances for the Toffees, and has contributed with three goals and five assists along the way, as well as having featured twice for England’s U21s.

This exposure means quite a few people around Europe know who he is, and Gazzetta dello Sport have included him in their top 98 prospects born in or after 1998 from all around the world.

Coming in at a respectable 37th, the Everton starlet also ranks fourth in promising English players based in England after Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon (18th), Tottenham’s Marcus Edwards (34th) and Manchester United’s Angel Gomes (36th).

The Italian newspaper describe him as having ‘more energy than a portable battery’, but also being a bit ‘old school’ because of how he wears his socks only half way up his leg

Convincing Ronald Koeman and now Sam Allardyce that he deserves to start above far more experienced players, the world really is Tom Davies’ oyster as things stand.

Let’s just hope he fulfils his potential properly and doesn’t become one of those ‘what could have been’ players we so often see.
