After turning his season around at Besiktas in recent weeks, the Turkish club could be looking to keep Liverpool loanee Loris Karius.
Previous reports in Turkey said Besiktas’ new board were hoping to offload the player and possibly send him back to Liverpool in January.
The German’s two-year loan contract with the Black Eagles will expire at the end of the season, but Fotomac now claim the Super Lig side are interested in keeping him beyond this campaign.
Besiktas officials will reportedly travel to England in January to hold transfer talks with Liverpool and Fotomac claim they will be looking for an agreement with the Merseyside club.
It’s reported manager Abdullah Avci is also a big fan of the player and is hoping he will stay at the club after impressing in recent weeks.
Karius has kept four clean sheets in his past five games for Besiktas in the Turkish Super Lig, helping his side to close the gap on leaders Sivasspor.
The German goalkeeper is under contract at Anfield until June 2021.
