Besiktas’ head of transfers Ahmet Nur Cebi will fly to England next week for transfer talks over Newcastle United target Cenk Tosun.
Tosun are is on the radar of some Premier League teams, including Newcastle United, and Fanatik said Cebi will travel to the UK to hold further talks with English clubs.
Fanatik say Cebi will report back to Besiktas president Fikret Orman about any developments, as the Turkish club are looking to take advantage of the interest in Tosun.
Newcastle United tabled a bid of £8m in the summer, but this was rejected instantly by the Turkish champions. However, this hasn’t deterred the Premier League side, and they’ve maintained their interest in Tosun this season.
It was claimed last month Newcastle United are lining up a €20m bid for Tosun in the new year, but given these latest developments they may need to increase this.
Last week Newcastle United met with Besiktas officials in London to discuss Tosun.
