Wolverhampton Wanderers are ‘one of the teams interested’ in Carles Aleñá, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The 23-year-old struggled for minutes under Ronald Koeman in the first half of last season and that forced him to join Getafe on loan in the winter market.
He featured regularly under the orders of José Bordalás, who left Getafe for Valencia last month.
Getafe have appointed Míchel as Bordalás’ successor, and these two managers are also interested in signing the midfielder for their respective clubs.
The Spaniard’s future at the Camp Nou is ‘up in the air’ because he has a year left on his contract. He wants to solve his future and is ‘clear’ that he wants to settle ‘where he feels important and can have regular minutes’.
As per the report, ‘offers are not lacking’ as Wolves and the two La Liga sides have an interest in acquiring his services.
Aleñá has not given up his dream of making his name at Barca. However, the situation is complicated and he would prefer to leave the Catalan club if he’s the sixth-choice midfielder next season.
The player is on holiday with his family and is ‘calm’ with his situation. He’s set to hold talks with Joan Laporta as his intention is to convince Koeman to include him in his plans.
For now, it seems difficult for Aleñá to be a regular at Barca, especially when Ilaix Moriba has been part of the first team.
Developments are likelier to take place after Aleñá hold talks with Laporta and Koeman, to find out where he stands in their plans.
If Wolves are to sign Aleñá, they will have to battle it out with Valencia and Getafe.
