According to Turkish newspaper Fotomac, Goztepe are targeting Leicester City midfielder Daniel Amartey ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Aegean side are looking to strengthen their squad before next season and it’s claimed the Foxes man is a target.
The Super Lig club were looking to sign Amartey permanently, but Fotomac report this is not possible at the moment, so they are now pursuing a loan deal instead.
Fotomac say the Ghanaian midfielder is looking to leave Leicester because of lack of game time and Goztepe are so keen they’ve made a ‘good’ offer for the 25 year old.
It’s stated Leicester player is keen on joining Goztepe and further talks over a possible transfer are likely to take place in the near future.
This season the midfielder hasn’t made any appearances for Brendan Rodgers’ side, so he’s not going to be a loss to the manager.
His contract will expire at the end of June 2022, after Amartey joined the Premier League side from FC Copenhagen in 2016.
