Matthew Bondswell is close to moving to RB Leipzig, report German newspaper Bild.
The 16 year old is ‘scheduled’ to move to the Bundesliga club, with Bild saying the prospect of a move is ‘VERY HOT’, capitals and everything.
Manchester United and Liverpool are also said to be interested in the young fullback, but the German newspaper is confident the player is likelier to move to the Bundesliga.
Leipzig are in ‘pole position’ to sign Bondswell, who is described as being ‘fast and athletic’ as well as an ‘absolutely top talent’.
Should the move be completed then it’s expected Bondswell will go through the U19 team at RB Leipzig and into the first team squad. Paul Mitchell is said to be leading the transfer effort, and Leipzig are only expected to pay training compensation for the player.
There’s no more reported on Manchester United and Liverpool interest so they may have been thrown in to add some drama to the transfer story, but Bild seem pretty convinced.
