We highly doubt many Nottingham Forest fans will known who Fouad Bachirou is, but it’s a name they might come to know more intimately next season.
At least, that’s what France Football are reporting on Monday, claiming the Comoros international, who currently plays for Malmö FF in Sweden, is on his way to City Ground.
The French magazine took to their website to explain the midfielder was on his way to discovering his fourth league after leaving France in 2010, when he stepped away from Paris Saint-Germain’s B team to sign for Morton in Scotland.
A move to Östersund in Sweden followed in 2014, where he stayed for four years before heading to Malmö in 2018.
The 30-year-old is now expected to play under Sabri Lamouchi at Nottingham Forest, where he ‘will sign’ a two year contract with the option of an extra one.
There are no details about the fee the Championship side would have to pay, but we can’t see this being an overly expensive transfer.
