When reading A Bola this morning, we found a headline saying ‘Sérgio Oliveira linked to Forest’, and didn’t give it a lot of attention.

It was clearly a reference to reports from elsewhere, even though the outlet didn’t say where the information came from.

It’s been written that Nottingham Forest are looking for a midfielder with Oliveira’s characteristics, and could get him signed in January on a loan deal. The player is having a hard time to get minutes at Porto, so that could be a good chance for him.

But it turns out English and Portuguese websites have been covering this article today, most of them crediting A Bola, without caring about the origin of the information.

Checking other newspapers, we’ve found that O Jogo had a very similar story this morning, but crediting the English press.

It basically confirms that A Bola also got the information from abroad, and just didn’t care about crediting them. That’s how these loopholes are created, and the claims today giving credit to A Bola are nothing new… just what was in the English media originally.
