Nottingham Forest are continuing to be linked with a move for Espanyol goalkeeper Roberto, after reports in the Spanish media.
There have also been recent claims in the Greek press Roberto could be heading to Nottingham Forest.
Roberto is currently on loan with Malaga, but after their relegation to the Spanish second tier it’s expected he’ll return to Espanyol in the summer.
However, Roberto is only expected to be a back-up for Espanyol if he’s around next season, with Diego Lopez looking guaranteed first choice when Pau Lopez leaves.
This has led to claims he’ll leave in the next window, and Marca report Nottingham Forest could sign the 32 year old Spaniard to replace Costel Pantilimon.
The Romanian is currently on loan with Nottingham Forest, but is expected to return to Watford at the end of the season.
Roberto has done the rounds in Spain, playing for several clubs, and it’s likely Nottingham Forest manager Aitor Karanka will be aware of his compatriot.
