Nottingham Forest have been chasing PSV Eindhoven’s Ibrahim Sangaré throughout the summer window.

On July 26th, Eindhovens Dagblad stated the Tricky Trees have had plenty of contact with the 25-year-old’s entourage. Last week, RMC Sport reported Forest were ready to make a written offer to sign him.

Voetbal International now state Nottingham Forest have taken this step and sent a new offer to the Eredivisie side.

It’s claimed Steve Cooper’s side initially tried to sign the defensive midfielder on a loan deal with a mandatory purchase option, which didn’t please PSV. They have now returned with a new proposal of €25m to buy the Ivory Coast international.

The Dutch club have ‘firmly rejected’ the Premier League side’s latest offer. They want €12.5m more from Nottingham Forest to sanction his sale and aren’t ready to carry out a deal for less than that figure.

VI’s claim is backed up by Eindhovens Dagblad, who also explain that PSV want €37.5m to let go of Sangaré this summer.

PSV have already made it clear the player will only be sold if the asking price is met and they continue to relay that via the Dutch press.
