On November 6th, Fluminense’s Nino said he’s aware of Nottingham Forest’s desire to sign him and also explained that the transfer is still being negotiated.
Last Friday, TNT Sports stated the defender’s transfer to the Premier League side is no longer certain as he’s drawn interest from other clubs in England, Russia and Spain.
A fresh report from iG Esporte claims several European clubs have asked about the 26-year-old in recent days, and that Nottingham Forest are the only club from England to have shown interest in him.
It’s said the Tricky Trees are seeking to ‘resolve the final details’, in order to close the deal for the centre-back. This is likely with the Brazilian club, considering that Steve Cooper’s side have an ‘agreement in place’ with Nino.
The outlet adds the finances and contractual details are ‘still being debated’ between the parties involved in the operation.
According to iG Esporte, the figures are kept confidential, and if there’s a sale, the Copa Libertadores winners will receive 60% of the fee and Nino’s former club, Criciúma, will get the remaining 40%.
Earlier this month, Fluminense president Mário Bittencourt stated he remains hopeful the player could change his mind, even though Nino maintains a dream of moving to Europe.
There’s a possibility that following the Copa Libertadores victory, both player and club have pushed Nottingham Forest for a little more money.
